Gum leaves

Wearing: Romance Was Born dress, Shrimps faux fur clutch, Asos flats and pom pom earrings from Strange Magic on Etsy.

There was an interesting piece on Man Repeller last month on not really knowing what you look like, written by a woman in her late twenties or maybe in her early thirties. She didn't have low vision, nor was she blind. The subject matter wasn't on body dysmorphia, but rather being so outwardly focused that there's a real disconnect between her, as a thinker and her, as a woman who gets dressed every morning and maybe goes out to dinner or for drinks every now and then. It's stuck with me ever since I first read it after a friend commented that this Romance Was Born dress really suited me, specificallythat it was "my colour". More often than not I don't take comments whether they are positive or negative into consideration but this particular friend is an artist whose designed stamps for the country so his opinion had a bit more weight to it. So, months later I decided to dress in all green, complete with pom pom earrings which work friends likened to (and I quote) 'Shrek testicles'.
