Best of August Street Style 2017

I had high hopes for August- it was Copenhagen Fashion Week and faint memories of Vogue newsletters made me excited to see what women were wearing on the other side of the world. Unfortunately, it proved to be a bit of a let down, with repetition of cognac leather, neutrals, layered moto jackets and very little by the way of colour or attention to detail. There's also a greater emphasis placed on women in packs wearing variations of the same outfit, with the end result being summed up by Aristotle, "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts." So basically, if you and your girlfriends are conventionally attractive, have achieved seemingly unattainable bodies and have brands beating down your door for collaborations then it is a golden age for you my friend! If however, you're a little disillusioned with street style don't worry. Next month, we're sure to see the return of maximalism and everyone who's anyone will be bringing their A-game to Fashion Week in New York, London, Paris and Milan. I can't wait!
