Liberace's daughter

Wearing: Vero Moda dress and shoes, ruffle collar and bow by Asos.

Today’s outfit was inspired by the opulence of Liberace (minus the rhinestones and feathers), combined with an aesthetic borrowed from Alessandro Michelle’s work at Gucci, which has become an omnipresent reference point and influence on my personal style. The result was something cross between a flamboyant matriarch and an overly enthusiastic piano teacher with a penchant for black velvet ribbons and anything pink resembling a meringue. But the silhouette, choice of shoes and floral undertones seem more in line with the ethos of British muse and model Alexa Chung, which was a happy accident. Incidentally, she’s hiring a commercial executive, but without any knowledge within that field or the prerequisite of the perfect winged eyeliner, I don’t stand a chance. I'll just stick to what I do best, wearing the pinkest and frothiest collars and bows in the most spontaneous arrangements, in an attempt to conjure an irresistible combination.

  1. I love that outfit - it's wonderfully feminine and pretty! I love the look of Vero Moda dress's fabric, the ruffled hem, the pastel pink yoke, the long puffy sleeves with ties at the wrists, the floral print, and the pretty pink Asos bow. I also love the GIF - adorable!
