Top 5 Moments of 2015

It's been a big year this year, to put things mildly. I completed my own research project and graduated from university. It wasn't always easy, but I'm very grateful I got to work on a project which I felt so passionately about and made very much my own. Hopefully I'll be back in academia but for now I'm aimlessly searching for something to give my life meaning, much like Dustin Hoffman in The Graduate. Minus the adultery, definitely have not been dabbling in that!

The wonderful Ati Lin gifted me these amazing Saddle Shoes which are made from 100% recycled leather! Honestly it was just amazing to receive an email from someone saying they liked my style and thoroughly enjoyed the content I was putting out there.

There was a lot of emphasise put on my studies, but there was always time for creating new outfits AND I got to see Romance Was Born's Bush Magic runway show at the National Gallery of Victoria. The atmosphere was incredible, it was unlike anything I had ever experienced. Honestly I was so glad I dragged my butt out there to see it!

I also got to attend some classes organised by the lovely Lady Petrova, including Social Media and Unicorn Hair braiding. Hanging out with a cool group of ladies on a Saturday morning is high on my list of priorities (so if you're in Melbourne, hang out with me?)

Lastly, I've just enjoyed being able to continue posting outfits but also sharing them on my instagram, where I won this amazing hand painted jacket by Esther Kim (estherlovesyou). Here's to a bigger and better 2016!

This has probably been my favourite room to decorate in Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer thus farm simply because it's a cat, the room is super colourful and it's TANGY! Tangy is an orange cat, literally an orange and therefore she wanted a room full of fruity furniture. I know, it's pretty cliche but I did have heaps of fun with this one because Tangy was one of the first characters in my Animal Crossing Gamecube village! Long story short, I recognised her immediately, she did not recognise me and probably thought my face was generic and would have walked off had she not requested my services. As I've done with other AC HHD blog posts I've also scoured the internet for style inspiration and clothes which are aligned with the design of this room. Sassy World has lots of amazing vintage pieces featuring fruit AND it's run by the wonderful Helena (a member of the always colourful and inspirational Confetti Crowd).

Put me in Coach!

Wearing: Thrifted bandanna and skirt, Asos blouse and Chloë Sevigny X Opening Ceremony shoes.

I got super excited when I found my black bandanna when cleaning my room the other day and wanted to create an outfit inspired by Coach's Fall 2015 collection. The only trouble is that it's 30 degrees Celsius today and will be for the next five days. That's too long to wait! I decided to wear a summery outfit inspired by the collection by swapping a structured khaki coloured skirt in lieu of liquid leather pants. You'll also notice I'm wearing some strappy boots instead of the sheepskin boots from the collection. You could also wear a bandanna with a grey sweater in colder weather or wear a leather jacket with a ton of thrifted pins. Do you ever take inspiration from the runway in your everyday outfits

Go Goth

Feeling pretty down in the dumps today, basically I'm feeling a little lost in this mess we call adulthood. Things I thought I had figured out six months ago have all fallen apart, I'm not really sure which city I should live in and the people around me can't offer me much advice either. It's all a bit of a mess at the moment. I've also been trying to meditate a bit lately, but it seems that my best attempts can only calm me down a little bit. Trying to organise pictures, thoughts and outfits have come as little comfort. For now all I can really do is try to look on the bright side and change my way of thinking, rather than remedy my situation. Or abandon life as I know it and become some kind of forest witch wearing nothing but long, black flowing gowns with smoky eye shadow and purple lipstick.
