Wearing: MarinaFINI Earrings, American Apparel Blouse, thrifted Trousers, Meadham Kirchhoff X Topshop sweater and purse and Dr Martens boots.

So this Halloween I decided to go as myself, rather than a ghoulish ghoul or scary monster because I intend to SLAY everyone with my killer outfit and charming personality. Hahaha... nothing could be further from the truth. I got these earrings in the mail and my sweater last week and they kind of go together if Suzy Bishop from Moonrise Kingdom later grew up to become a professional pumpkin carver. Combined with my love for Meadham Kirchhoff I'm pretty happy with how this outfit turned out- and I love my new earrings so you'll be seeing lots of them as well as other pairs of earrings very soon!

My computer is threatening to blow up and my dad says when my exams are over we need to update Windows and blah blah blah. So before all that happens I am slowly posting a lot of the old photos I've had stored on my hard drive for eons but I've lost most of the sources. Unless of course they are immediately recognizable to me- so if you recognize something please let me know who took it/ made it so I can credit them! I'm kind of bummed out about the whole computer situation. I happen to like my computer the way it is but I suppose change is good and we all need progress in our lives. I've thought about having the Internet set up in my room and a computer or tablet but I like being able to sleep and otherwise I don't think I would get anything done.

The Void

I can feel my mind slowly emptying. It doesn't hurt but it makes me sad to feel like my school work is so draining that I can't think straight about the stuff I really like. On the other hand I'm not overthinking things which I tend to do a lot- so all of a sudden it's easier to make sense of things visually or create an aesthetic. Today I'm wearing all black and digging on kind of pre-apololyptic vibes and grainy photographs. Grainy photographs are possibly the greatest thing ever, being so far removed from the world of Instagram and romantic. I think I want to start taking my own photographs again soon but obviously that's going to largely depend on whether I can afford it or not so I hope I get a summer job. Otherwise I'll be instagramming and trying to get a handle on all things social media.

Arvida 4 UNIF

Generally I avoid UNIF and NastyGal, Dollskill and other online stores of that genera. This mainly has to do some sort of misconception where I think of what my blogging heroes would wear, and use it to guide me towards the vision I have of my future self. It used to be driven a lot by spite of the people I knew in high school but I stopped caring about what they thought. So now if I want to wear all black I do it and know that people won't associate me with certain subcultures. But if I want to dress super colourful the next day I can do that too. It's all part of me. I'm not playing dress ups or pretending to hide from who I am. I think that's why I like this collab between Swede Arvida Byström so much and UNIF. It shows that women can have a number of different experiences all within the same day and the same week. Also I cannot wait for summer so I can start taking film photographs again and the dreamy lighting of these pictures makes me feel anxious for exams to finish.
